Mobile Services Manager

This morning, I was shocked with the notice that "Mobile Services Manager" installed three softwares: Pinterest and two games that I have never asked for.

 

I even blocked the auto-update by Google services as I want to have a full control over that. Furthermore, I have specific softwares that I do not want to update. But then this devil installed three apps (each >> 100 MB!) without my explicit consent. This cannot be tolerated.

 

I googled it and found out that "Mobile Services Manager" is an AT&T app that cannnot be uninstalled. It is run by carrier (so AT&T in this case) to provide a free "bloatware" service. No Thank YOU.

 

But this app is NOT visible from the Launcher (apps) as AT&T does NOT want the user to see it. However if I 'search' it in the Apps in the configuration (as I know the name) with 'Systems app option enabled", it comes up.

 

I 'remove updates', 'clear the cache', and forced stop and disabled it. I cannot uninstall it. :( Sure I uninstalled all the three useless bloatwares too. That remined me that AT&T just jacked up my monthly by $4 and that could be the cost of this. So annoying.
